Leave it to the guys at Rhinewest Performance, Inc. to develop a Cam Gear Kit for your BMW K1200RS/GT. Actually... the RW Cam Kit does NOT include cams.. but instead, the kit replaces the cam sprockets. ..both intake and exhaust. The kit also includes a new software chip, decryption board, and instructions. If you already have a RW Chip, we offer an upgrade kit which includes both sprockets and new chip which will plug into your current Rhinewest decryption board. These Rhinewest Cam kits will ONLY work on a stock bike and stock exhaust. Comprende? They have not been tested with any aftermarket system. Like their world renowned chip, there is an early and late model kit. What does the kit do?? Besides an additional 8-10hp...you'll have lots of super low-end torque... 10 additional ft pounds of torque in the midrange.... where it really matters. Available for all model year K12RS/ K12GT. |

Choosing Early/Late Kit: The break-off point between the early and late kit is generally around the 8/99 models. However, the only sure way to determine which kit you need is to furnish us with the numbers off the side of your motronic box. We've seen old motronic boxes installed on as late as 2001 models so there are German variables in play that we can not control. Bottom line..the control unit numbers are printed on the front of the Motronic box. There are seven different numbers printed on the cover. We are concerned with only the bottom seven digit number. If in doubt.. call us at 828.628.7093 EST and we'll help you figure it out.. If you have an 02 or later... you'll get the late version kit. |
