Wunderlich K12RS/GT/LT Daytona Hubcap From Wunderlich of Germany, Pirates' Lair introduces the K1200RS/GT/LT Daytona Hubcap for cast five spoke wheels. Tired of trying to get into those lug areas to clean? Join the club. This finely crafted piece nicely finishes the center of the rear wheel and covers the lug bolts making this area much easier to clean as well as giving a sleeker, classier look. Exquisitely machined from T-6 aluminum and then anodized , the cover is held securely in place with a special expansion sleeve. With the safety clip removed, simply insert the cover and tighten the nut, then reinsert the pin. Installation is a breeze and does not require the removal of the rear wheel. A quality piece worthy of the mighty K'ster! Fit's both the 5.0 standard KRS wheel and the wider 5.5 RS/GT/LT wheels.

Now that Verholen of Germany has discontinued their K version hubcaps, the Wunderlich Daytona Hubcap is the only option on the market. Why did Verholen discontinue their hubcaps? We were told that their machinists were simply undependable and quality was suffering. I also suspect that profit margins were small... Bottom line.. they are no longer available. Pic at right
is of a customer's bike. He had his Daytona Hubcap powder coated (excluding
the Blue nut) to match his white wheels and then installed the BMW
emblem. The BMW emblem pictured can be purchased from any authorized
BMW dealer. Sweet, huh? |
