This US made K1200RS/GT Peg Lowering Kit is machined out of T-6 Aluminum and comes furnished with all stainless steel hardware. One solution for cramped legs and bad ergonomics on ALL model year K12's. You get left/right side lowering blocks AND the shift lever lowering block which is NOT included in other lowering kits. This K12 Peg Lowering Kit is literally half the price of the German competition and BETTER MADE* than the US competition and.... you can still use your frame caps if you have them. These fit every model year BMW K1200RS and the 2002-2005 BMW K1200GT only.

When I first received these from the American Machine Company in Pa, while I was impressed by the engineering and fit, I was skeptical of the design as they are almost twice the thickness of the "V" brand kit. I quickly found out that on the K1200RS.. this has an added benefit. As the lowering blocks are ½" thick... one result of moving my feet away from the bike was that my knees are positioned further away from the tank.. alleviating the dreaded rubbing that we all submit our tanks to. Didn't expect that.

And the big question... Just how much are the pegs lowered with this kit? I unscientifically measured from the ground to the lowest portion of the peg with bike on the centerstand...and with MEZ4's.
Factory pegs top position.. ....15 3/4" (2000 model K12RS)
Factory pegs lower position.. 14 3/4"
With K12 Lowering Kit ........ 13 ½"

That's a comfy 1.25" lower than the factory pegs in lower position on a 98-2000 model. To find out how much lower your pegs are on late model bikes, just measure from the ground up to the tip of your pegs and then compare with my measurements. Of course... if you live in an area where you are regularly dragging bits and pieces on a daily basis.. can I come visit? er.. i mean..these aren't for you.. But if you are like me.. bad knees, cramped legs, or with 95% of your riding on "tame" streets these will make daily riding a much more enjoyable experience. Trust me.. and for those interested... they polish up nicely.
Note: On the GT's, the black rubber hose to the brake fluid reservoir will be very stretched tight. This has caused zero probs to date, but some choose to add a longer hose. Your choice. FYI..

While the shift lever lowering block (pic at right) is included with every peg lowering kit we sell, we also sell them as a stand alone item. It's a simple bolt on item that lowers the shift lever pedal exactly 1" The shift lever lowering block is made of aluminum and comes with it's own stainless steel set screw. Fits every model year BMW K1200RS and 2002-2005 K1200GT Only. Install time.. about 60 seconds.

Also... we offer a shift lever extension (pic far right) for those who think they need it. This shift lever adapter fits directly over the existing shift lever and locks into place via a single set screw. This enlargement makes for better ergos. This fits every model year K1200RS /GT/R/S
