K1200RS / GT Custom Footpeg Kit The list of things
you can't get for the BMW K1200RS just got shorter. Gaze upon yet

Lair... the K1200RS
/ GT Custom Footpeg Kit. The joint colaboration of
Pirates' Lair with Oberon Engineering of Great Britain has produced
this all-aluminum replacement peg kit that is both beautiful,
lightweight, and trick as hell. Besides the obvious cosmetic enhancement
to your bike, due to the thin design of these pegs, you will actually gain
about 1/2" extra lean-angle clearance without raising the pegs. My
co-pilot says she prefers these over the stock rear pegs as she can move
her feet more freely. Our kit comes complete with (2) front and (2) rear pegs and all necessary mounting hardware.. These simply bolt on with no modification necessary except for slightly bending the (2) front peg return springs. Otherwise, install is about a 10 minute endeavor. Choose from an assortment of waaay cool colors to enhance the beauty of your K1200RS or GT. If you already have our Custom Footpeg Kit, these pegs will bolt on to those carriers.. | When ordering colored pegs, if you recieve them and you do NOT like the color match or they just don't look as expected, just return them before you install them and we'll swap you out even for another color or type. You can't go wrong with SILVER. FYI.. Please call for color advice or before returning for an authorization # at 828.628.7093 EST. We may even have pictures of them on certain bikes. |

Note: As you can see from the picture above and right, both versions of our custom pegs come straight out of the factory slot exactly like the 2002/03 model RS/GT's. On the older model K12's (see right) the footpeg had a 1" offset-rise to it, meaning it was 1" higher coming out of the same housing. Bottom line.. if you have an older K12 with the higher factory pegs, our pegs will lower your feet about 1" which may or may not affect your controls. You may or may not want to lower your shift lever to keep things on the exact same level you're used to. We carry a shift lever lowering block for $39. Check it out by Clicking HERE. Keep this in mind when ordering. There should be no noticeable difference to ergos with the new bikes although will will have more ground clearance at full lean. |
